AW Development Group grew from a simple belief: people need spaces where they can be honest, feel supported, be challenged, and continue growing into who they're called to become.

The Work Started Before the Company Did.

Long before there was AW Development Group, much of the work behind it was already happening — through leadership, ministry, mentoring, and everyday relationships, Andre found himself having conversations with people navigating decisions, faith, purpose, or a difficult season of life.

Over time, something became clear: people don't always need someone to fix what's happening. Sometimes they need a trusted person who will listen, ask honest questions, offer perspective, and walk alongside them as they figure out what's next.

AW Development Group was created to bring greater intention and structure to that work: supporting individuals while partnering with organizations and teams that genuinely want to care for and develop their people.

Founder

Meet Andre Wood

Andre Wood is the founder of AW Development Group and a licensed chaplain through the International Federation of Chaplains (IFOC).

Andre's professional journey has taken him through security, sales, and corporate leadership. Working in security gave him firsthand experience with professional athletes and the pressures of performance and public perception — a connection that continues to shape his passion for bringing chaplaincy into athletic environments. He later built a career in sales and corporate leadership, developing teams and helping people grow, and holds a bachelor's degree in finance.

Outside his professional career, Andre has spent years serving in church leadership, mentoring men, and walking alongside people through both growth and difficult seasons. While the settings have changed, he sees the same thing at the center of all of them: people.

Andre's Christian faith is foundational to how he lives and leads, shaping his understanding of character, integrity, and purpose.

Andre and his wife, Dana, are raising five children in Arizona. Of all the roles he carries, being a husband and father remains among the most important, and one of the places where he continues to learn the most about leadership, growth, and becoming the man he wants to be.

At the same time, genuine care begins with respect. We don't assume everyone shares the same beliefs — when someone wants to explore faith or Scripture, that door is open; when they don't, they're met with the same dignity and care.
